Seth - As well as having stomach cramps due to hunger another factor made completing this project honestly a very difficult task, having to explain to my mother and father why I could not eat dinner or breakfast when I was at home. They were not supportive of my decision and rightfully so. Throughout the day I attempted to relieve the hunger feeling in my stomach with water that I was also rationing throughout the day. By Monday night, I could feel my energy almost completely depleted and I had no enthusiasm or thoughts for my Advanced Functioning and Modeling exam on Tuesday morning. I woke up late on Tuesday due to the persistent aching in my abdomen where I could feel the stomach acids starting to corrode the inner lining of my stomach. Although the fast was over I was still limited to only two dollars. In my kitchen I found what I judged to be about two dollars worth of food: a pack of saltines and an apple. The saltines were definitely hard to eat because I was still rationing my water for the rest of the day. I went into my math test with a scattered mind and no energy; I probably failed. Although I give myself credit for trying to take a walk in the shoes of the majority of the worlds population in developing nations, I cannot rightfully claim that I feel the pain of all these people because of the setting I took this challenge in. Also, although I did not spend more than two dollars a day myself there are still other factors in play such as the gas my dad paid for me to get to school on time. I learned from this project that no matter how many things do not go my way I should not complain because there has to be someone out there who has it worse.
